The Mad Titan To Return For Marvel’s ‘ETERNALS’?

You cannot keep a good villain down. Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and Loki all just keep finding a way to come back and now we can add Thanos to that list. Thanos co-creator, Jim Starlin, was on ComicBook’s Phase Zero podcast and says he has word from Marvel, or at least rumblings that the Mad Titan will make some sort of appearance in Eternals.

Here is what Jim had to say regarding Thanos being in Eternals

“I believe I heard some rumors that he’s [Thanos] coming back in different things. I think I’ve heard…confirmed from Marvel Studios is that he’s going to be…at least a guest appearance inside the Eternals, so he’s gonna be around. This is not anything I’m making up. This is something I’ve read somewhere.”

I think fans have always assumed Thanos was not going to stay dead and might return in some capacity. There was even a Marvel exhibit a few months ago that seemed to confirm the connection between the Eternals and Thanos. There is still so much about Eternals we do not know and how does Thanos fit in the storyline? Will we get to see the early years of Thanos before he became the villain we all know and love?

I for one loved Josh Brolin in the role and the more Thanos the better. The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe no longer needs to depend on him as the major villain but that does not mean we cannot get some cameo appearances from time to time.

What do you make of Jim’s comments? Do you want to see Thanos return? Lets all hope Eternals does not get delayed again.
