The Punisher Season 2 Lost Viewers, But Other Canceled Marvel Shows Lost More

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”12631″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While there apparently has been a drop in ratings for The Punisher season two, Screen Rant reports that it is less than Marvel Netflix’s previously canceled shows such as Iron fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil. While fans such as myself believe that all of these shows had much stronger seasons, non-validated reports state that Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil season three, arguably the strongest of any of the Marvel Netflix shows; had a decline. I want to remind people, though; that Luke Cage was literally canceled the same day Daredevil season three premiered and with everything uncertain around Marvel and Netflix, I believe that viewers feeling discouraged could explain for that.

According to Jumpshot and Business Insider, The Punisher’s viewership dropped 40% between season one and season two. Again, I would like to add The Punisher is coming out at a time where we’re seeing the end of the partnership between Marvel and Netflix. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil, though; suffered a 60% loss. Understandable for Iron Fist, but Luke Cage ad Daredevil? Doesn’t seem plausible.

The Punisher season two and Daredevil season three were some of the best seasons we’ve gotten from the Netflix Marvel universe, so a dip in viewership is in no way an indication of the show’s quality. Simply that people haven’t turned on. Which, considering everything happening with Marvel and Netflix, as well as any other thing that would prevent someone from tuning in right away, it’s understandable. The great thing about streaming services is to be able to watch at your leisure as opposed to cable TV.
