[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1782″ img_size=”980×490″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]In the beginning of the year, it was pondered what Defenders-verse shows would get to premiere in 2018. We already knew Jessica Jones and Luke Cage were releasing their second seasons in the beginning of the year, so it was brought into question what would be the third show. Iron Fist was announced to be released on September 7th, so we felt that was it. Done. They wouldn’t do more than three shows a year. Then it was announced that Daredevil would have its third season at the end of 2018, a huge, but pleasant shock to fans.
This leaves only The Punisher in limbo. Currently still filming in New York, The Punisher isn’t expected to get its second season until 2019, presumably around March. As anticipated as the Frank Castle centered show is, it’s a right decision to hold off until 2019 to premiere it. This way everything can be comfortably spread out without too many of the shows being squished together. From what we’re promised, season three of Daredevil will need some recovery from, so it’s good to wait a little longer until Punisher season two. Can’t believe I just said that!
