All of the rights to The Defenders have returned to Marvel. As of today, Jessica Jones and The Punisher’s rights are in the hands of Marvel. Two years ago, we were all stunned by the cancelations of all of the Marvel shows on Netflix. They were all popular and were building a universe of their own. We didn’t understand at the time why this was happening, but after two long years, the rights to these characters are where they should be.

Both The Punisher and Jessica Jones were canceled on February 18, 2019. There have already been rumors that Charlie Cox as Daredevil (the rights for Daredevil returned to Marvel last year), would be in Spider-Man 3. Will we now see Jessica and Frank Castle joining the MCU?

Only time will tell, but I’m hopeful that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will know how much we loved these street-level heroes and bring them back into the fold.
