David Lieberman aka Micro was essentially the catalyst that kicked everything off in the first season and based on the backstory we were given, you can say Micro was the one that kicked everything off in Frank Castle’s life. The two had an “odd couple” friendship about them in season one and many credit Micro with almost bringing Frank back from his previous battlefield mindset. So, where was Micro in season two?
Showrunner Steve Lightfoot commented:
“You know my answer to it, and it’s partly because he’s still alive there and I would love to go revisit him. I sort of, and this maybe just my own dark heart, I sort of feel like he tried the marriage, and after everything he put his family through, it didn’t stick. I always feel like when we find him again, he’ll be some sort of bathroom in a pool of spilled whiskey, waiting for Frank to come pick him up and put him to work again”
All Micro wanted in season two was to be with his family so the idea of it not working out is heartbreaking and I feel like Frank would have a word or two to say about putting his children through that. If there is a season three, we can all agree we’d love to see Micro and Frank team up again.
