‘The Walking Dead’ Wraps Filming Final Episode

The Walking Dead is one of those shows – like Game of Thrones, True Blood, etc. – where everyone has watched at least some of the show at some point. And now, the long-running AMC series is coming to an end. Having originally aired in 2010, the series finale is on the horizon.

The second part of the last season (which is being split into three parts) airs this Sunday, April 3rd. And now, we have confirmation that the finale episode of The Walking Dead has just wrapped filming. This brings this cult classic to an end. However, don’t fret – the world of TWD isn’t over. We still have Fear the Walking Dead, as well as upcoming spinoff projects such as Isle of the Dead, Tales of the Walking Dead, and an untitled Daryl and Carol project.

The series was met with high praise but the last few seasons have seen the ratings dip, especially after Andrew Lincoln left. Where are his solo movies at by the way? The series has featured some terrific characters from Hershel Greene played by the late Scott Wilson, to Shane played by Jon Bernthal. Many fans feel the best seasons were 1-4 and dropped off before the eventual arrival of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan. Now the series is calling it quits but as stated before, there are some new spin-off shows in the works and the one with Negan and Maggie has me intrigued since it will take place in New York City.
