Even though Hollywood is somewhat at a stand-still during the COVID-19 pandemic, they’re still rich. They’re still making money. And while most of the country is worrying about unemployment, we can all admit that quarantining is different for actors vs. civilians. So, who are the highest paid actors in 2020? The year that is arguably one of the worst we’ve had. In the midst of a recession worse than the 2008 economic plummet, let’s be slightly jealous of those making tons of money.
Dwayne Johnson
It shouldn’t be surprising that possibly the busiest man in Hollywood is at the top. Estimated to be worth $87.5 million, the check he got from Netflix for Red Notice certainly didn’t hurt.
Ryan Reynolds
At $71.5 million, Reynolds is the second highest earning actor. Because of Red Notice and 6 Underground, Reynolds brought in $20 million.
Mark Wahlberg
Yep, Mark Wahlberg is third on this list. Worth $58 million, Wahlberg did well for himself due to Spenser Confidential, as well as Wahl Street, and McMillions.
Ben Affleck
Batfleck himself is worth $55 million. His fortune in 2020 comes from The Last Thing He Wanted and The Way Back.
Vin Diesel
Coming in 5th place at $54 million is Vin Diesel. The Groot actor has done well for himself this year.
Akshay Kumar
The Bollywood star is worth $48.5 million and is working on his Amazon Prime show The End currently.
Lin-Manuel Miranda
At $45.5 million, it’s no wonder Miranda is included on this list. After all, his Hamilton play found new life on Disney+. Who needs a Broadway ticket when you can access the story on the streaming service.
Will Smith
Will Smith has made $44.5 million this year, for the various projects he’s involved in.
Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler is pretty much the king of comedies on Netflix. He also delivered one of the best performances in 2019 (the biggest snubs, frankly) for Uncut Gems. He is worth $41 million.
Jackie Chan
Rounding out this Top 10 list is the man, Jackie Chan, himself. Chan made six movies this year and isn’t stopping! Chan is currently worth $40 million.
