Top 10 Summary: The Top Comic Book Movies of the Decade

2019 is slowly coming to an end. With 2020 on the horizon, we not only say goodbye to the past year, but the past decade. The 2010s were vastly different than the 2000s. Fashion changed. Politics changed. The movie industry changed. While comic book movies have been around the Marvel Cinematic Universe began in 2008, superhero films have dominated the box office for the past ten years. It’s only growing, too. Comic books are being adapted onto the big screen and the small screen, as every major streaming service has its own comic book-inspired television series.

Every weekend, we do the Top 10. Whether it is rounding out the Top 10 Worst Romantic Couples or the Top 10 moments from a specific show or movie, the crew discusses our opinions on the topic for two hours. This past weekend, we went through the Top 10 Comic Book Movies from the Past Decade. From Avengers: Endgame, to The Dark Knight Rises, there are so many wonderful comic book movies to choose from.

We started the Top 10 with Man of Steel and before you jump to conclusions, please know that though it is a list; it is not in order. The fun of the Top 10 is not knowing what the other person will pick for their assigned number, so we most often want to at least put a movie on the list before someone takes it. We all agree that Henry Cavill’s portrayal as Clark Kent was a match made in heaven and a Man of Steel 2 is something we all want. There were Marvel and DC films on the list, as well as some animated projects. How could we not include Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse?

For the entire Top 10 list, you will just have to listen and let us know, what your favorite comic book movies from the past decade were.
