Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel to the 1986 film starring Tom Cruise; has added Ed Harris, Jon Hamm, and Lewis Pullman. This is a big announcement, as both Harris and Hamm are heavy hitters and Pullman is the son of Bill Pullman. There are no reports of who the three will play in the movie, but it’s already shaping up to be a great addition to Top Gun.
It’s reported that the sequel will follow the same style as the original Top Gun film and apparently, the plot will revolve around drone technology and exploring the end of an era for dogfighting and fighter pilots. Tom Cruise will return, as Joseph Kosinki will direct and Eric Singer wrote the script. Producers of the original Top Gun David Ellison and Jerry Bruckheimer will return and Harold Faltermeyer will score the movie. In an era of long-awaited sequels, this is one of the most anticipated.
Top Gun: Maverick will get to the big screen on July 12, 2019.
