Training Day is Getting a Prequel Set Before the Rodney King Verdict was Delivered

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”30491″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Training Day remains one of the best films of all time. Having starred Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, this movie has so many iconic moments to it, I couldn’t even count.

According to Collider, Nick Yarborough is being brought in to write a prequel to Training Day, which will be set in April of 1992. Two days before the Rodney King verdict. The prequel will focus on the tensions that had risen in Los Angeles during the time and will follow a younger version of Alonzo Harris. In case you didn’t know, David Ayer wrote the script to Training Day.

There’s no director attached to the project yet, as it’s still very much in the early stages. Who would you want to step in Washington’s footsteps as a younger Alonzo and do we need a prequel to this epic classic?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
