Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the cool news about this project is that according to some exclusive news by Collider that it will be a “period drama”, which will be a contrast to the other Kingsman movies, which have been more so spy-thrillers. This would be cool though, seeing perhaps how everything spawned into the films we’ve seen before.
“The man who would be Kingsman.”
That’s a line that points to what the movie is about, which is a riff on The Man Who Would be King. I love little play on words like that.
On top of this prequel, Kingsman 3 is also reportedly in the works. Kingsman: The Golden Circle will bring us back to Taron Egerton and Colin Firth and according to source, Vaughn is planning to direct after a small hiatus once the prequel is done. No rest for the wear, the Kingsman franchise isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
