Rob Thomas (not the lead singer of Matchbox 20), is the greatest showrunner of all time. Don’t believe me? Every show he produces is gold and apparently, no one can get enough of Veronica Mars. After three seasons and a movie, it seems that Veronica Mars is coming back with a whole revival series on Hulu. Rob Thomas and star Kristen Bell are all on board, so get ready to relive the good ol’ days.
There are really no other details just yet, but it is admirable how dedicated those surrounding the show are to its legacy. And despite us being in an era where everything is revived, rebooted, and given a sequel, I believe this is a good step. It will still have an audience and there’s plenty that can still be told. The original show centered around a crime-solving sleuth and Veronica Mars was praised for having a strong female lead depicted. Here’s hoping Jason Dohring will return, since his character was killed off on iZombie.
Speaking of iZombie, I hope that Rob Thomas’s other creation, which is coming to an end after five seasons; will have the same legacy that Veronica Mars and maybe get its own movie and revival, which it deserves. By the way, Bell herself lent her voice for a small bit in an episode of iZombie.
