When you tune in to watch Daredevil on Netflix, it’s hard to imagine the character of Wilson Fisk being played by anyone other than Vincent D’Onofrio. Actors, critics, and I all praise this brilliant actor for his ability to give us one of the most memorable villains in the MCU. Kingpin was better than ever in the third season and although we are unsure of the future of Marvel shows on Netflix, what I wouldn’t give to see him pick up the character once more. He’s just that good.
On Twitter, though; a user asked D’Onofrio who else he would like to play if he wasn’t playing Fisk. Rather than give a Marvel-related answer, the actor answered candidly.

Lex Luthor you say? Now, I personally never thought of this. While I don’t believe we were given a good rendition of the character in Batman vs. Superman, we’ve had other popular Lex Luthors throughout the years and the character is even coming to Supergirl. As a fan-cast stance alone, I’d throw my pick in for Corey Stoll to play the infamous Superman villain.
But, D’Onofrio? It’s something I never knew I needed. This is, of course, all heresy and just wishful thinking, but if the actor was going to switch sides and play a character in the DC universe, he would do Lex Luthor so much justice that we probably haven’t seen since the animated series. While D’Onofrio will always be Wilson Fisk in our hearts, it’s now probably stewing in your mind how great it’d be if he were Lex Luthor, isn’t it?
