Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus would love to play Ghost Rider or the Silver Surfer.

When Norman Reedus isn’t killing zombies in The Walking Dead, he is an avid motorcycle rider. Thus it comes as no surprise that if given a chance to play a Marvel character, he would play Ghost Rider or perhaps even the Silver Surfer. Reedus was asked which Marvel role he’d take during a recent Walker Stalker Cons: An Evening with Norman & Jeffrey’ event. These are events where he appears alongside Walking Dead co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan to answer fan’s questions. He replied:

“Ghost Rider would be fun. Silver Surfer would be fun. Silver Surfer is awesome.”

The connection to the Ghost Rider, whose original incarnation was bike stunt rider Johnny Blaze, would be a natural fit. Reedus headlines an “AMC reality docu-series Ride with Norman Reedus, which sees the star travel the globe at the handles of a motorcycle.” The fact that it is also the preferred mode of transportation used by his TWD character Daryl Dixon doesn’t hurt.

If Reedus were to become involved in a Marvel project, he would be another in a line of Walking Dead stars who have taken the Marvel plunge. Shane Walsh actor Jon Bernthal currently stars as the gun-toting vigilante Frank Castle in The Punisher. Michonne star Danai Gurira has a breakout role as Wakandan warrior Okoye in Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. Even Ross Marquand had a role as the apparition-like Red Skull. He took over the role previously played by Hugo Weaving.

How about it Walking Dead fans? Want to see Norman Reedus done the flaming skull of the Ghost Rider or be the “Sentinel of the Spaceways” as Silver Surfer? Share your thoughts with us at GVNation…if you are not busy beating back the zombie apocalypse.
