Warhammer 40,000 Will Be Adapted into Live Action TV Series

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”26517″ img_size=”700×378″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]I believe I said not too long ago that games will be the new genre that studios look to for live-action content. With Halo, Mortal Kombat, and others being adapted, you can ad Warhammer 40,000 to the mix. Man in the High Castle creator Frank Spotnitz has teamed up with Games Workshop for the live-action adaptation called Eisenhorn. Warhammer 40,000 began as a miniatures wargame and has since spawned novels, video games, a movie, and now a TV series.

Eisenhorn will be set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000. This means humankind teetering on the brink of destruction. There is unending war and a secret conflict, which is fought by the Imperial Inquisition’s agents. We will follow Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn and his investigators fighting in order to thwart aliens, heretics, and demons while protecting human’s doomed fate.

Spotnitz commented:

“We are delighted to collaborate with Games Workshop to develop the beloved visionary world of Warhammer 40,000 into a TV series. Warhammer 40,000 is steeped in rich and complex lore, with a myriad of traditions and stories that have accumulated over time in this thrilling and complex world, making it one of the most exciting properties to adapt for television audiences and the franchise’s loyal global fanbase. There is nothing else like it on television, and we are incredibly excited to tap into our own experience creating imaginative, complex and compelling worlds to bring this incredible saga to the screen.”

Andy Smillie, Games Workshop’s global head of marketing and media; added:

“Warhammer 40,000 has a massive global fanbase — they are a passionate community of Warhammer hobbyists who love to engage with our characters, stories and games. I’m truly delighted we are able to develop a show that will reward their loyalty.”

Are you excited for a Warhammer 40,000 TV series?
