It was announced during yesterday’s ComicCon@Home panel that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will be releasing the Bugs Bunny 80th Anniversary Collection on Blu-Ray on November 3rd. Official details have not been revealed, but it appears that it will be a 3-disc Blu-ray set including 60 remastered cartoons.
According to SVP of the Theatrical Catalog for WBHE, George Feltenstein, the set will include 20 cartoons that have been released before but are considered “essential,” as well as 40 more cartoons that have either never been remastered on Blu-ray, never been released in the proper Academy aspect ratio or never been released on home video at all. All of the shorts have been fully remastered from original elements in HD and span from the beginning of Bugs to the end of the classic Bugs Bunny era in 1964. The set will also include a multitude of special features, including documentary featurettes and audio commentaries.
We will keep you updated on final details on all of the included shorts and special features. Are you excited to check out this new set? Let us know over on Twitter!
