[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”17188″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Warner Brothers has high expectations for the upcoming Suicide Squad 2 film and most of that has to do with James Gunn’s script for the sequel. In fact, with their enthusiam for Gunn’s Script, they have accelerated their efforts and have started the casting process. That is good news for a film that has had trouble gaining traction over the last few years due to scripting and directorial issues.
In reference to casting, this process has not come without some hiccups in the early stages. As it has been previously reported, Will Smith had to pull out of the project due to a scheduling conflict and today it was announced that Joel Kinnaman will also not be returning for the follow-up. On a more positive note, it has been reported that Idris Elba is being considered by Warner Bros. to fill Will Smith’s role as Deadshot. When added to the reported return of a Harley Quinn, this would appear to put casting moving in the right direction. Further details are sketchy in this early stage but rest assured GVNation will be following closely and report details as they are revealed.
Does Warner Bros. Excitement over the James Gunn script bolster your confidence in the Suicide Squad sequel? How about the loss of Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg or the possibility of Idris Elba as Deadshot? Let’s us know your level of interest thus far, here at GVNation.
