Warner Bros Chooses Robert Pattinson As The Next Batman

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”23257″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While it had been reported that Robert Pattinson was at the very top of the list for the role of Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, it wasn’t officially confirmed. But, now, according to Deadline; Warner Bros. has approved for the actor to portray the iconic DC character for the trilogy that the director will start later on this year.

Deadline states they are still working out a deal that will lock down Pattinson for the option to do two more films outside the one he has signed on for. This would give Matt Reeves his Batman for three films in total.  Deadline also states that this new film will in no way coincide with what Ben Affleck did as Batman in Batman v Superman or Justice League.

Nicholas Hoult had also been considered, but after a meeting yesterday it was decided that Pattinson is the guy for the job and as expected, negotiations will begin. While many still hold the Twilight series over Pattinson’s head, he has had some really strong performances under his belt as well as cast in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie Tenet. If Nolan has brought him on board, I don’t think we have anything to worry about.

What do you think now that the decision by the studio has been made?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
