While there are those who may object due to the stigma his reputation has from his days in the Twilight movies, many are optimistic about this actor’s potential as Bruce Wayne. While the internet seems to have confirmed his involvement, the deal is not finalized, and the actor himself is keeping his lips tightly sealed when asked.
Pattinson stars in a Cannes Film Festival movie called The Lighthouse and while he was doing press for the film, the press, of course, had to ask about the rumors floating around:
“He had prepared a pat answer for any press queries about his pending deal on Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” “I am only answering questions about ‘The Lighthouse,’” he said, smiling,” Indie Wire wrote.
This isn’t too surprising, as actors normally do keep quiet when it comes to casting news until the studio itself releases said news. Until we hear from Warner Bros. or DC, I’m sure Pattinson won’t be saying anything else. It is said that the decision is still between Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult, who is currently playing Beast in the X-Men: Dark Phoenix upcoming movie.
