WarnerMedia to Produce an Animated Gremlins Series

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”16441″ img_size=”500×281″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Prepare for your childhood to come full steam ahead, 80s kids, because Gremlins is getting an animated series, to be developed by WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service. According to Variety, this new show would be a period piece that will follow the adventures of Mr. Wing as a young man on a trek with Mogwai Gizmo. Mr. Wing was the grandfather in the original films, so it seems like this animated series would be a new take on what we’ve seen before. It sounds adorable to be honest.

While Warner Bros. has declined to comment, writer Tze Chun is attached to write and executive produce the animated series. Chun has worked on the series Gotham since season three and is the co-founder of the comic book publisher TKO Studios, whose mission is to release their comic book series in bulk rather than the traditional way of doing so. You can also catch our EXCLUSIVE Interview with Tze Chun where we talk Gotham and his comic studio TKO.
