Sonic the Hedgehog is about to get the boot this week by ‘The Invisible Man’. Generating quite a buzz, ticket sales are estimated at $20+ million opening weekend. Word of mouth is strong and independent box office trackings estimate the movie could bring in close to $30 million. With production only costing $7 million to make, this will be a solid start for the movie.
The film is a science fiction horror. A woman Cecilia played by Elisabeth Moss who thinks shes escaped her abusive ex. She receives news that he has committed suicide and stands to inherit a fortune. This isn’t your ordinary case of domestic abuse. As Cecilia begins to rebuild her life for the better, she begins to suspect he’s not really dead. The Invisible Man portrayed by Adrian Griffin begins to gaslight light her, with a grease fire, misplaced set of plans. Things start to get lethal. Cecilia works to prove she is being hunted, by someone unseen and is not losing her mind. He may be invisible, the fear he spreads is right in plain sight.
Rotten Tomatoes is glowing with an 89% audience score! Written and directed by Co-Creator of the “Saw” franchise Leigh Whannel has rebooted the 1933 film based on the H.G. Wells Novel. Whannel has updated the classic and given a perspective from the victim the mad scientist is stalking. This effectively turns the film into a gaslight horror that has you rooting for Cecilia from beginning to end.

Sonic and Harrison Ford’s, The Call of the Wild. Doesn’t look like Ford will be making number one. We will find out if Birds of Prey stay ahead of the Bad Boys for Life. My feelings are 1917, Jumanji the Next Level will stay in the top ten. Dropping down will be Brahams The Boy II and Fantasy Island.
Mamma, Mimi, Michele, call out any one of those names and I will answer. There are several hats on my shelf. My passions are photography, being outside, movies, tv, pop culture and anything haunted or spooky. People are my other interest, I love meeting new people and socializing. When I lived in Savannah GA I worked as a tour guide both haunted and historical tours. I met people from all over the world, that was the best part of the job. All of this I can write about too, that’s the beauty of being a writer.
