Not everyone is going to enjoy decisions made in television shows when it comes to certain character’s storylines. Apparently, one person who is not too happy with a character’s storyline is Ed Harris. In a recent interview, Harris has expressed that he hasn’t been too happy with his The Man in Black’s plotline in Westworld season three. In seasons one and two, his character was very much the villain, but season three has presented some scenes that would make you feel sympathy for him. That is something that Harris says he did not sign up for.
“I mean, I signed on to play the Man in Black. I didn’t sign on to play the Man in White. So it wasn’t the most joyous season for me, I gotta say.”
He also feels like he can’t fully enjoy playing the character because he doesn’t know the character’s true origins:
“They pretty much leave [the backstory] up in the air. Being a person who enjoys doing theatre and making it new and fresh every night, I’d just as soon know the full arc of my character. But, unfortunately, I do not.”
