[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5416″ img_size=”950×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]When filming a series, it is not uncommon for an actor to change his facial hair to accommodate a future project they are undertaking while the show is on hiatus. Kit Harrington of Game of Thrones fame had a clause in his contract dealing specifically with that. One of the stipulations of Kit Harrington’s contract, stated he was not allowed to cut his hair or shave his beard until Game of Thrones finished filming. During a recent interview, Harrington revealed why he has maintained the Jon Snow look, despite the fact Game of Thrones had concluded filming. Harrington quipped:
“We just finished filming. You can’t tell because I look exactly the same. They own me; they’ve just kept me like this.”
All jokes aside, he later explained that he kept his Game of Thrones look for a more practical reason, because he feels doesn’t look as mature without his facial hair:
“When I shave, I look like a tired child.”
As far as excuses go, his second wasn’t quite as tyrannical as the first and now that his Game of Thrones role had ended, perhaps he can go back to the clean-shaven man he has been in the past. Provided his new wife Rose Leslie (Ygritte) approves of course.
