This deals with the possibility that the film could be the pre-cursor to the hunt for a new Batman. In a report via Deadline, it tells of a storyline where the team finds themselves in a Gotham City that is apparently no longer under Batman’s protection. Thus the Bird’s of Prey must defend the city in a battle against a crime lord in Batman’s absence.
So, the question that immediately spawns is, where is Batman? The supposition is that if DC and Warner Bros. decided to bring in a new Batman, this would be an opening to set the stage for that. They could have Bruce pass the mantle over to a new Dark Knight or they could just introduce a new actor to assume the role of Bruce Wayne. It’s unknown at this time which direction they would go, especially with Ben Affleck’s situation still in limbo.
Are you excited with the breaking news of The Huntress and The Black Canary roles now cast and the possibility of this storyline being the basis of how the movie will transpire? It is still conjecture at this point but it does stir the imagination. Share your opinions about all the goings on with Birds of Prey with us at GVNation.
