Wonder Woman 1984’s Director Talks About How Spin-Off Film Will Connect to Wonder Woman

Patty Jenkins is the woman behind the amazing Wonder Woman films. As we wait for the sequel, Wonder Woman 1984; to come out, we’re getting an inside look at what else we can look forward to in the Wonder Woman world. Jenkins recently talked about a potential spinoff and how it would connect to the Gal Gadot-led Wonder Woman world:

“This is a story that Geoff Johns and I came up with and then introduced to [Warner Bros.]. The events of this story take place after Diana leaves Themyscira, the Island of the Amazons, and there are some twists and turns linked to what will happen between Wonder Woman 1984 and Wonder Woman 3. The production of the project has not yet officially started, but I hope we get it because I love this story.”

It should be said that this spinoff will involve Jenkins, but she won’t direct it. Jenkins will be directing the third Wonder Woman film, so it is understandable that the director is deciding not to also take on a spinoff. Whoever gets to work on the spinoff will certainly have a rich world to dive into.

Are you excited for a Wonder Woman spinoff?
