Wynonna Earp had been given a fourth season, but now that is delayed and it is making fans very anxious as to whether or not this popular SYFY show is going to get the next installment they were promises. It seems that a lack of funds seems to be the problem, with IDW Entertainment apparently running a deficit, meaning they’re having difficulties coming up with the money to even begin production of a fourth season.
“IDW is committed to continuing to tell the Wynonna Earp story,” IDW told ComicBook.com via e-mail. “Much like the fans, we are passionate about not only the series, but the comics, the characters and the overall message that the Wynonna Earp franchise carries. We are in the process of working out the details for how the Wynonna story will continue and will share new details very soon.”
What’s even more peculiar is despite having their fourth season delayed, Wynonna Earp may be getting a fifth season as well after being reviewed by SYFY. A notion that showrunner Emily Andras found both “curious and extra infuriating”.

There is no date yet for when production will start, but if you go to Twitter you can see a #FightforWynonna tag trending and as someone a part of the #SaveDaredevil campaign, I completely relate and hope this fan-favorite SYFY show gets the season it was promised.
