‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ Will Not Have A Stan Lee Cameo But Will Have A Tribute To The Marvel Comic Icon

Since the passing of Marvel’s Stan Lee, it has been unsure of how many more cameos he had put on film. One film that will not have a cameo is X-Men:Dark Phoenix. They will instead have a tribute to the legendary creator of so many of the characters the films are using today. This will be much like Captain Marvel did in it’s opening Marvel Montage (although they also had a cameo appearance). This was confirmed by X-Men Movies producer Hutch Parker and Dark Phoenix director Simon Kinberg.

We don’t have a cameo,” Kinberg revealed. I’d rather say that than then keep it mysterious, out of respect for Stan. We do have some tribute to him, and it’s something that obviously we weren’t thinking about when we were making the movie because he was still very much alive. And he’s been such a huge part of making these films over the years. He’s had cameos; he’s had input into the process of making them.

That leaves his last cameo appearance for Avengers:End Game…at least that is what Joe Russo believes. There was talk about a possible cameo in Spider-Man: Far from Home but that is apparently not a certainty at this time. If his last appearance IS in Avenger’s: End Game, I can think of a no more fitting send off than that. Will you miss the cameo appearances by the great Stan “The Man” Lee?
