Xbox Games with Gold For December 2019

At this time of year, we are all getting our Christmas decorations out. We’re writing our cards and wrapping our presents. However, before the Christmas season is in full swing its time to take our final look at Xbox’s Games with Gold for 2019. As usual, there are 4 games up for grabs. Two for the Xbox One and two for the 360. Don’t fear though all 4 are playable on the Xbox One. If you have an active Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Ultimate Game Pass subscription, you can get your hands on the first two games on December 1st. The second two games will of course land December 16th. It’s certainly a mixed bag this month, so let’s dive in and take a look.

December 1st Xbox One – Insane Robots

First up this month we have the turn-based strategy card game Insane Robots. This cartoon styled strategy game is all about you battling other robots. With a collection of other 45 different robots to choose from which you can use in the games 15-hour long campaign. In addition to the games, story mode there’s 1V1 duels and a survival arena mode where you can lead your very own robot rebellion. This isn’t the most popular of games and it certainly won’t be for everybody. However, if turn-based strategy games are your thing Insane Robots has its own unique charm I think you’ll like.

Insane Robots has all-round very positive reviews and has a Metacritic score of 87 and a user score of 7.5. Check out the trailer below.

December 1st Xbox 360 – Toy story 3

For the Xbox 360 on December 1st, we have a classic Disney throwback. Toy Story 3, an arcade platformer of sorts that tells the story of Woody and Buzz’s adventures through Sunnyside Daycare. You can play as all your favorite toys, explore brand new worlds and even build some of your own to make your own stories. Without a doubt a game that both young kids and older fans are sure to love. Yet again, this is another game with solid reviews all round.

Toy Stroy 3 has a Metacritic score of 76 and a user score of 8.5. Click below to watch the trailer.

Our second game for the Xbox One launching December 16th is Jurassic World Evolution. You get to take control of the legendary park in this strategy-based game. Are you willing to try to defy mother nature as you bioengineer your own unique dinos with custom visuals and personality traits? Expand your park and try to control your attractions either by land or by air. You can even profit from your dinosaurs to fund your research and carry on growing your park. Just remember life always finds a way…

December 16th Xbox 360 – Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate

The final game for Decembers Games with Gold, coming December 16th for the Xbox 360 really is quite a mouthful. Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate is a side-scrolling adventure game. You will play as all the generations of the Belmont family including Gabriel Belmont, his son Trevor Belmont and, grandson Simon Belmont. On a quest for revenge after the evil forces of Dracula took your family from you, you will embark back to the land of your birth to rid the world of this evil once and for all. Solid combat and traversal, as well as an intriguing story, means Mirror of Fate is definitely worth a look. Especially if you’re a Castlevania fan.
