With October right around the corner its time to take a look at the recently revealed Xbox Games With Gold line up for October 2019. As always, there are four games up for grabs in October, two for the Xbox One and two for the 360, with all four being available to download and play on your Xbox One. The first two titles will be ready to play October 1st, with the other two games arriving October 16th. All 4 are completely free for anyone with an active Xbox Live Gold or an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Let’s get into this.
October 1st Xbox One – Tembo The Badass Elephant
First up this month, arriving October 1st we have Tembo The Badass Elephant. With Shell City under attack from the forces of Phantom, you must defend the city by smashing and stomping your way through the enemy. This action-adventure title, plays very much like an arcade side-scroller of old, with hand-drawn, cartoon-style graphics to boot. Not one for everybody but it could be good for some laughs. Will you give Tembo The Badass Elephant a try on October 1st?

October 1st Xbox 360 – Bolt
On October 1st for the Xbox 360, we have the action-adventure title, Disney’s Bolt. The second Disney game in two months now…something you want to tell us Microsoft? Bolt sees you travel across the globe with Penny and her super dog Bolt on a mission to rescue her dad from the evil Dr. Calico. Combine Bolt’s superpowers and Penny’s hacking abilities to outwit your enemies and save her father. Again, this probably won’t be for everyone, but I could see some younger Xbox fans getting a kick out of this especially if they’re a fan of the film.
Bolt has a Metacritic score of 57 and a user score of 7.1. Here is the trailer for you to check out:
October 16th Xbox One – Friday The 13th The Game
For the Xbox One on October 16th, its time to get in the mood for Halloween with this genuinely scary title, Friday The 13th The Game. Friday The 13th, pits a group of Camp Crystal Lake counselors against one player, controlling the legendary Jason Voorhees. The survivors have to escape, with various different options available to them, Jason simply has to hunt them down. Friday The 13th has some pretty intense moments, both as the survivors and as Jason himself, and its made even better when playing with friends. This is probably the best game of the month and is definitely worth playing in the run-up to Halloween.
Friday The 13th The Game is sitting at a score of 53 on Metacritic and has a user score of 5.6. Here’s the trailer:
October 16th Xbox 360 – Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge
Finally, for October we have Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for the Xbox 360 on October 16th. You take control of returning master ninja Ryu Hayabusa who this time, has his own life threatened by a deadly curse in this hack and slash title as well as his ally Ayane who has her own set of missions, revolving around the return of the Black Spider Clan. Ninja Gaiden 3’s intense action-packed gameplay definitely looks fun, but will you be giving it a try October 16th?
