When Microsoft announced in September that the Xbox would be getting support for keyboard and mouse usage, the only missing info at that time was when? That question has been finally answered as it had been reported by GameInformer that the Xbox will be finally getting the traditional PC input peripheral support this week.

This will be supplied by Razer, who is a well known maker of high quality accessories for both PC’s and gaming platforms. These new peripherals will be equipped with an Xbox key and will support the new dynamic lighting features on Xbox One, which enables in-game lighting effects.

To take advantage of this long awaited addition, select titles will be enabled to use the keyboard and mouse for Xbox Insiders, with more promised to follow. The ultra popular Fortnite will be one of the first titles to offer support for this input method, joining Warframe, which was previously announced. In addition, future updates will make the following games capable of taking advantage of the keyboard and mouse combo:

  • Bomber Crew
  • Children of Morta
  • DayZ
  • Deep Rock Galactic
  • Minion Master
  • Moonlighter
  • Strange Brigade
  • Vermintide 2
  • Vigor
  • War Thunder
  • Warface
  • Wargroove
  • X-Morph Defense

For those of you who prefer the keyboard and mouse combination for certain games, this announcement will be welcome news. For those who prefer the classic Xbox controllers, you can still rock those.
