When an isolated man living at the back of a desolate caravan park is visited by a desperate young woman seeking shelter from a violent storm. As the savage storm worsens, these solitary souls begin to feel threatened – but who should really be afraid?

For in-depth thoughts on You’ll Never Find Me, please see my colleague Cameron Ritter’s review from its original theatrical release here.

    Video Quality

You’ll Never Find Me comes to Blu-Ray with a robust AVC-encoded 1080p transfer that faithfully brings this movie to life. The transfer achieves a fine level of detail even with the preponderance of shadowy elements. The transfer is primarily clear with only brief instances of murkiness during some of the most challenging shots in the darkest corners. The cinematography is confined a bit due to the nature of the story, but the camera captures some great moments where light sources are utilized in inventive ways. The colors at hand are saturated with a good amount of depth. The texture of the production design and clothing is rendered well. Skin tones are natural throughout with some exquisite details present in certain shots. RLJE Entertainment has released a worthy disc for this one.

    Audio Quality

The film comes with a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that delivers an exceptional listening experience. Environmental effects are a vital aspect of the film, especially as it pertains to the pouring rain, and this track delineates each sound with precision. This track delivers a nuanced space replete with unique sonic details. Directionality is accurate so sounds always naturally emerge from their respective points. Dialogue comes through clearly without being drowned out by any of the other sounds. Activity in the low end comes to life during the thrilling moments. The score maintains an ideal fidelity that suits the film well. RLJE has delivered a first-rate track that serves the film well. Optional English SDH subtitles are provided.

    Special Features

    • Audio Commentary: Directors Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell provide a great commentary track in which they discuss the challenges during production, how they achieved the commanding knock at the door, creating a rain storm, maintaining continuity in the looks, working with the performers, and much more that is worth a listen.
    • Behind The Scenes: A six-minute look at the construction of the set, the filming, and more.
    • Photo Gallery: A collection of photos from the production of the film is provided.

    Final Thoughts

You’ll Never Find Me is a great slow-burn thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat as you wait to figure out how things are going to fall apart. The dynamic between performers Jordan Cowan and Brendan Rock is engaging as the push and pull in power dynamics seems to shift by the moment. The contained nature of the narrative ratchets up the tension to great heights before culminating in a memorable finale that satisfies. RLJE Entertainment has released a Blu-Ray with a great A/V presentation and a decent array of special features. If you like a good cat-and-mouse psychological thriller, this is a good time. You’ll Never Find Me will be available to purchase on Blu-Ray and DVD on August 20, 2024.
