The adaptation of Mohamedou Ould Slahi’s memoir, “Guantánamo Diary” will be directed by Kevin MacDonald. This true-life legal drama is about Mohamedou Ould Slahi – who was captured and imprisoned by the U.S. Government for years without being charged or given a trial. Shailene Woodley and Tahar Rahim will also be involved in the project.

In ‘Prisoner 760’, Slahi will find unlikely allies in defense attorneys Nancy Hollander (Foster) and her associate Teri Duncan (Woodley). The two desperately pursue justice and are aided by military prosecutor Lt. Stuart Couch, who is played by Cumberbatch. Levi will play Neil Buckland, who is a federal agent and an old friend of Lt. Couch.

Guantanamo Diary was a New York Times best-seller that Slahi wrote while imprisoned.
