A New Report Says A Familiar Face Will Return In ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever has consistently appeared in the news with the latest developments ranging from the highly controversial recasting of T’Challa to Letitia Wright’s injury on set while filming. The latest scoop, according to exclusive info from Screen Geek is Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger to reappear in the sequel, but in a surprising way. According to Screen Geek, Jordan will be reprising his role as a mentor to a young hero in the Ancestral Plane – a place where an individual who has taken the heart-shaped herb gets to speak with their ancestors before becoming the Black Panther.

This was sort of hinted at on the Jess Cagle Show back in April with Jordan as a guest on the show.  When asked how likely is it for him to reprise the role on a scale from one to ten (ten being most likely), Jordan stated ” I’ll go with a solid 2…never say never, I can’t predict the future. I just figured Black Panther 2…so 2 sounds ok I guess”.

We’ve seen Killmonger speak to his father after taking over Wakanda, and we’ve seen T’Challa do this as well when he spoke with his father. Rumor has it that Leticia Wright’s character Shuri will become the new Black Panther, especially since this has happened in the comics, but this has yet to be confirmed. Ryan Coogler has returned to write and direct the film, with Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira reprising their roles as well. The film is currently on hiatus due to Wright’s injuries back in August, but stay tuned for more coverage of Black Panther 2!
