The ‘Black Widow’ movie should have been made years ago, but it’s finally coming out in May of 2020. Despite the film being five months away, Marvel Studios graced us with the first trailer and it was amazing. You can read my breakdown of the trailer here. While Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, and Rachel Weisz all looked stunning, there was one actor/character us Stranger Things fan couldn’t wait to see. That was David Harbour as the Red Guardian. Playing Russia’s version of Captain America, Harbour graced the trailer as Alexei Shostakov and I was shook. This is why, I had to compile a small list of all of the looks that were served in the ‘Black Widow’ trailer.

Break Out of Prison Much?
Whatever Alexei was in prison for, it must have been bad. The Red Guardian doesn’t look like he’s gotten much sun lately.
It Still Fits!
As stated in earlier interviews, Harbour is playing a “washed up” version of this comic book character. Needless to say, he hasn’t been the Red Guardian in a while. Clearly, Natasha coming back and getting the band back together has him slipping into his old costume for the first time in a long time. This is me trying on a pair of jeans after a few years, knowing I have not kept up with a diet. Just like Thor in Endgame, he’s still worthy.
Proud Russian Daddy
Alexei is clearly happy to see the girls again. In the MCU, Natasha has been with the Avengers since Iron Man 2. We don’t really know what she’s done in between films, so needless to say, she hasn’t been back to see the Russian gang. Who knows what Yelena and Melina were doing. Plus, Alexei’s been in jail. This is a happy moment for him.
Guns Cocked and Ready to Go
Alexei took a page out of Henry Cavill’s Mission Impossible: Fallout book and cocked those guns before going toe to toe with Taskmaster. Seeing Harbour duking it out on a big screen? That is something I can’t wait for.
Need I Say More?
Seriously, do I? Harbour, biceps, and tattoos. Check, check, and check. My guess this is Alexei checking himself after breaking out of prison and before he puts on the suit – wanting to make sure he still got it. You do, Alexei, you do.
