Angela Bassett Praises Ryan Coogler’s Work On ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

When a sequel to 2018s Black Panther was announced, it was obviously intended for Chadwick Boseman to reprise the role so many loved him in. Unfortunately, Boseman passed away in 2020 after a four-year-long battle with cancer, leaving a hole obviously in the hearts of many, but also in the upcoming Marvel project. Clearly, a movie can not overshadow the fact that a person is deceased, but Chadwick’s passing has many wondering what’s to happen with the Black Panther franchise.

Rather than scrap the sequel, Ryan Coogler returned to work with Marvel as the director for the second film, titled Wakanda” Forever. There’s not much to say about the plot, as we are unaware of what Coogler created for the upcoming movie. We do have Angela Bassett praising Coogler, who plays T’Challa’s mother in Marvel – Queen Ramonda.

“I really give a lot up to our director and our writer Ryan Coogler. He’s such a tremendous talent, and everyone that he brings on that set. Everyone in front of the camera and behind the camera, so impressive, and giving a thousand percent of their gifts. So it’s a beautiful place.”

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to come out in November of this year.
