I am married to a lovely woman who is as crazy as I am and the proud parent of a 21-year-old young man with autism. My wife and son are my real heroes.

When James Gunn was released from his contract at Disney and lost his job directing Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol.3 I initially thought, that’s a shame. Whatever he said must have been bad and moved on. I have since read some of them and they ARE bad, not funny and indefensible. They also happened seven to ten years ago. I realize there is no statute of limitations on free speech but it is certainly true that…

One of the many things that has inspired questions from Batman fans about what transpired in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, was the defiled Robin suit and who it actually belonged to. Many fans have assumed the costume belongs to the now-deceased Jason Todd. It seems however that Zack Snyder has decided to throw a grenade into that theory with one little  comment on his Vero account: “What makes you think that’s Jason Todd” It has been stated that the suit is a clear reference to the A Death in the Family story arc, in which The Joker beats Jason Todd’s Robin…

As intimated in previous articles, Marvel Comics fans of the Heroes for Hire: Iron Fist Danny Rand (Finn Jones) and “Power Man” Luke Cage (Mike Colter) will have to wait awhile to see the power duo together. Jones confirmed this during a roundtable at the Television Critics Association press when discussing the second season of Marvel’s Iron Fist. “Well, Mike isn’t in Season Two, unfortunately, I wish he was, I love working with Mike. I hope to see more Heroes for Hire in the future. I think it’s a great pairing, I think Heroes For Hire and Daughters of the…

At the end of Infinty War, Thanos sat overlooking a countryside and smiled knowing he had accomplished what he set out to do. I imagine there was a bit of satisfaction  knowing he triumphed over the Avengers and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to do it. If you ask Michael B. Jordan if Erik Killmonger would have made a difference, he in true Killmonger fashion, said yes.  “I think the one thing about Killmonger is he really plans his attacks, and they’re well thought out. So if he ever stepped in a situation with Thanos, he would feel confident that he had…

One of the first things to change when you get older, besides your hair, your waistline, and your sudden desire to go to bed early, is your attention to detail. It used to be one of the things I prided myself on. That an my razor sharp wit, but that is obvious. This was brought once again to my attention when watching Avengers: Age of Ultron. I admit it has been a bit since I last saw it and a lot of Avengers have gone under the bridge since then but there were details that I apparently missed. When Ultron…

For those of us who were hoping for the rumored Superman cameo appearance in Shazam! it is appearing more likely that will not happen according to Mark Hughes of Forbes: “It didn’t work out, getting Superman into Shazam!, apparently. Maybe that’ll change and they’ll be able to film something. There’s still a lot of time before it comes out, but as of right now there’s no Superman in Shazam! and there’s no movement on a Superman solo movie.” Fans who saw the optimism of Superman to be a good match for Shazam will be disappointed with DC Films apparent desire to…

For those us who felt the need to re-familiarize yourself with the “Infinity Gauntlet” comic series in the hope to better understand “Infinity War,” you were probably left with more questions than answers. I know I was. The first thing you found out was that “Infinity Gauntlet” was only a continuation of a another series. Those clever folks at Marvel made sure you would have to obtain the Silver Surfer series to see how Thanos obtained the “soul stones,” which was how they were referred to in that story. Marvel had long since discovered what Steve Martin in The Jerk…

There has long been a debate about how close comic based movies and television should adhere to the comics they are based on. It is Marvel Comics Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada belief that for these stories to be told in a way that would be fresh and attract new audiences, it is important for comics and movies and television to embrace the need to stay truly separate. He explains that by narrowing your choices to the comic book canon, you limit what you can do and perhaps lose an audience that you could attract with some changes being made.…
