Baby Driver was a fun film from Edgar Wright that premiered in 2017. As one of the more enjoyable films from that year, it’s been a question of ‘where’s the sequel?’ since then.
Seemingly, a sequel has now been confirmed by The GWW. Sony has apparently greenlit a sequel, with Ansel Elgort set to reprise his role as the main character, Baby. Equally exciting is the news that Lily James, Jon Bernthal, and CJ Jones are set to return as well. The sequel will be based on a script that Wright has been developing for “some time”.
According to reports, the studio is looking for a new female lead. The reasoning is to “act as a foil to Lily James’ character”.
Production is expected to begin this Summer in New Mexico.
