Captain America’s Chris Evans Reveals His Childhood Favorite Superhero

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18623″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Besides playing Captain America in the current MCU, Chris Evans is no stranger to superhero/comic-book movies. Not only has he played Johnny Storm/Human Torch in two previous Fantastic Four Films, but he was in the Losers (from the comic under the same name from Vertigo) and a person with powers in the movie Push. Needless to say, Evans has always been around din some capacity when it came to the comic-book world, even playing a part in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

In a recent interview, Evans reflected on a childhood favorite superhero:

“I wasn’t that cool, I was more into cartoons, like Bugs Bunny and Looney Toons, things like that. I’ll say Batman. I really liked that, I mean I probably shouldn’t say that, DC, it’s… I don’t want to get in any trouble. But those Michael Keaton movies, those were pretty big, so yeah. I’ll say Batman.”

It’s actually pretty cool that Evans would pick out Michael Keaton’s Batman movies, considering the actor is now in the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise as the Vulture. Evans’ love for these movies growing up is what paved the way for him today and as we are seeing, Avengers: Endgame will be the last time Evans plays the very famous Captain America.

“Getting emotional on the last day of filming,” Evans said. “It was surprisingly emotional.”

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26th!
