Cast of Supernatural Emotionally Bids Farewell at SDCC

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”26847″ img_size=”702×549″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Previously, Supernatural was intended to end after season five. Luckily, the CW series has last up to 15 seasons. There’s been a lot of storylines, character development, legacy character introductions, and more. But, all good things must come to an end and Supernatural attended its last SDCC panel this past weekend. The cast and creative team were there to bid their farewells at Hall H. They thanked fans and expressed their emotions.

Co-lead star Jared Padalecki expressed:

“I’m trying not to cry. Can we all just start crying so I don’t feel so weird?”

Co-star Jensen Ackles added:

“It really is hard to express the takeaway from the experience. 14 years and change is a long time…We hoofed it up to Vancouver thinking we would just put our lives on hold and we would do a season, maybe two…Life never got unpaused and I’m glad it didn’t.

Misha Collins, who has played the fan-favorite angel Castiel since season four, expressed that he found lifelong friendships with his co-stars:

“I consider these guys lifelong friends. I could never have dreamed that along with that would come this incredible fandom and this iconic legacy of a show.”

When Supernatural wraps, it will have 320 episodes in total. The final season will be 20 episodes in total. The Supernatural cast has toured around the world for conventions for years now, so it does feel like this series is more than just a show.

What are you looking forward to in the final season of Supernatural?
