Complete List of SAG Award Nominations 2021 – Chadwick Boseman Sets SAG Record

Thursday’s nominations for the 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards today have given me some breath back. Some viewers were distraught and felt Golden Globe Award snubbed their favorites.

Of those snubbed despite raving reviews in “I May Destroy You,” was Michaela Coel. SAG though gave her the nomination for outstanding performance by a female actor in a television movie or miniseries.

Netflix Bringing it

The trending “Bridgerton” series on Netflix received its first award season nomination.  The cast of the show received a nomination for outstanding drama ensemble. In the male actor in a TV drama category, the nomination went to sexy star Regé-Jean Page.

In the female actor in the drama category, Netflix  made a clean sweep of the nominations with  two of their shows: “The Crown” and “Ozark.”

Motion Picture Catagory

In the Ensemble in a Motion Picture category  the films leading the way: “Da 5 Bloods,” “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” “Minari,” “One Night in Miami” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7.”

Chadwick Boseman received two posthumous nods, lead actor for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” and supporting actor for “Da 5 Bloods.”

Let us know what you think in the comments. Are excited? Do you have your picks? I’m working on mine.

The SAG Awards will be simulcast on TNT and TBS on Sunday, April 4.
