It’s now been confirmed that the deal has been closed between the studio and the actor/director. Venom 2 officially has a director!

The Tom Hardy led sequel will see Serkis step into the director’s seat. Venom 2 will see Hardy and Woody Harrelson face off against each other as Venom and Carnage, with Serkis as the director. Kelly Marcel wrote the script for the sequel and Ruben Fleischer directed the original, but won’t be back for the next installment. This is pretty huge news and as we find out more, we will let you know.
