Could ‘Halloween’s’ John Carpenter and Nick Castle reunite for a ‘Coupe De Villes’ Reunion?

It When Nick Castle reunited with John Carpenter for the latest Halloween, he probably thought that might be the last time. As pretty much all Halloween fans know, Castle played the main protagonist known as “the shape” or more commonly referred to as Michael Myers in 1978’s Halloween, which was co-written and directed by Carpenter. Recently, Castle has teased that the two of them might be getting back together for another type of performance.

For the past few years, Carpenter has focused on creating music and touring more than his cinematic efforts. When he performs, one song that fans familiar with his music have been hoping to hear is the theme for Big Trouble in Little China as performed by The Coupe De Villes. The Coupe De Villes consisted of Carpenter and Castle and fellow filmmaker Tommy Lee Wallace. Castle spoke about the possibility with our friends at Comicbook.Com.

“Well, I had lunch with John last week, and I said, ‘How’s it going on this tour?’ He was telling me about it, and he said, ‘You know we’re going to end at the Palladium here in Los Angeles?’ He said, ‘Maybe we need to get the Coupes together. I looked at him, ‘Was he kidding?’ He didn’t tell me. I said, ‘I don’t know if we can carry off that song anymore, the pipes aren’t that strong,’ but we’ll see.”
