Could the Fast & Furious Franchise Go to Space?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”27230″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Fast and the Furious franchise has always been a little outrageous. From their extreme races, insane stunts, and even the superhuman aspect being introduced in Hobbs & Shaw, how far is this franchise going to go when it comes to the unrealistic aspect? Apparently, it could go very far. According to the writer behind Hobbs & Shaw and five other Fast movies, Chris Morgan says that he won’t rule out a space film:

“I would never shoot down space. Never, never. I would literally never shoot down anything, as long as it hits the parameters: ‘Is it badass? is it awesome? Will the audience love it? And will it not break faith with the audience as they’re watching it?’ I’m down for whatever.”

That’s a little much, isn’t it? Then again, with the popularity of Marvel and DC movies, it would make sense that this 18-year-long franchise needs to do something to keep their franchise alive. Race movies aren’t enough now. You need action, CGI, and out of this world plotlines. What’s more out of this world than space?

What do you think about the Fast franchise possibly going to space?
