DC Comics Give Hints to The Infected With King Shazam! #1 and Scarab #1

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”28179″ img_size=”411×631″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Following the events of The Batman Who Laughs, we will see six of our superheroes corrupted and terrorizing Earth this upcoming November and December. In a tease from DC Comics, a series containing six comics running parallel to Batman/Superman was announced. Each of these one-shots and tie-in specials will spotlight a corrupted version of some of the most well-known DC superheroes. This includes Shazam, Supergirl, Hawkman, and more. All known as The Infected. In these stories, their buried frustrations will come to the surface and cause horrific results.

The Infected: King Shazam! #1 and The Infected: Scarab #1

The Infected: King Shazam! #1 will kick off the spotlight on November 6th. Written by Sina Grace and art provided by Joe Bennett, this will be followed by Scarab #1 on November 20th. The Infected: Scarab #1 was written by Dennis “Hopeless” Hallum and the art was provided by Freddie E. Williams II. Both issues feature a cover by David Marquez and Dean White. We will see one story of a hero whose soul has turned black and another tale of a hero who is fighting the evil inside of him. Soon, it will be those who he loves that pay the price.

You may have seen Infected Shazam! in previews of Batman/Superman, but you haven’t seen anything yet. Just wait until you get a hold of The Infected: King Shazam! #1.

Hawkman and Supergirl Tie-Ins

We then have a Hawkman #18 tie-in issue on November 13th, which is written by Robert Venditti and art provided by Pat Olliffee and Tom Palmer. Supergirl will have a tie-in with issue #36 on November 13th, which was written by Marc Andreyko and art provided by Eduardo Pansica and Julio Ferreira.

While this is going on, Batman and Superman will not know who has been infected or turned and they especially don’t know who is possibly a sleeper agent for The Batman Who Laughs. Batman and Superman will have to ask if they can even trust each other. All six will be revealed in Batman/Superman #4, which hits shelves on November 27th![/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”28177,28178,28180,28181,28176″ img_size=”411×631″ speed=”3000″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
