Doctor Fate and Isis Are Set To Appear in ‘Black Adam’

Now that we know that the long awaited Black Adam film is on the way, the natural next question is what story will they tell? And perhaps just as important, we get to ponder which other characters will be appearing. According to Heroic Hollywood, a couple of characters have been discussed to be added to Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. That would be Dr. Fate and the wife of Black Adam, Isis. This would be in addition to the character of Hawkman who has been already been thought to be a part of the upcoming film.

Dr. Fate

Dr. Fate has long been a fan favorite to receive the big screen treatment. As comic fans know, Kent Nelson is Doctor Fate. He is a powerful sorcerer and agent for the Lords of Order who fights against  evil alongside his wife Inza. His costume includes his amulet, cloak and the iconic helmet which were the creations of the ancient Nabu.  He plays the role of his mentor and spiritual guide. Dr. Fate is also one of the founding members of the Justice Society of America.

Isis

Isis has been around in many different incarnations but the one that is thought will be presented will the character of Adrianna Tomaz.  In this telling, Isis is the wife of Black Adam. With the Amulet of Isis, she has power over the forces of nature. Adam first met Arianna as a refugee who is enslaved and brought to Black Adam. Instead of accepting this “gift,” he freed her and killed the emissaries who had brought her to him. Black Adam found her to be unafraid and highly vocal about how he could change his country for the better. Eventually he fell in love and married her.

This wouldn’t be the first time for either character on live TV as Dr. Fate had appeared before on the 9th season of Smallville and Isis has appeared on Legends of Tomorrow.
