DC Universe’s Doom Patrol has already started filming and as we now know, Brendan Fraser will be playing the role of Robotman. Robotman aka Cliff Steele was a former racecar driver who, due to a tragic accident; had his mind put in the body of a robot. In the picture below, we can see Fraser’s stunt double Riley Shanahan in a practical costume for the set. Fraser will not physically be playing the Robotman character, only lending his voice. He will, however; play Cliff Steele in flashback sequences.
We can see from this photo and those who have been published that the series will be based on the Young Animal version of Doom Patrol, relying heavily on the bizarre aspects of the characters. According to reports, we will see Doom Patrol in the fourth episode of DC Universe’s highly-anticipated show Titans, which will premiere October 12th.
