Even though Game of Thrones has wrapped up filming on its final season, never doubt that Emilia Clarke will always be Daenerys aka The Mother of Dragons. In a recent Instagram post, Clarke showed us just how dedicated she was with a brand new tattoo! As someone who has expressed her feelings about the show ending and her famous career as the strong female character, it’s actually heartwarming to see her new ink with three little dragons. As we know, Daenerys’ has (or had) three dragons, which is the first time dragon eggs have hatched in I believe, over a thousand years.
Clarke’s new ink follows the trend of cast members immortalizing how much the HBO show has meant to them. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, got “No One” tattooed on the back of her neck, which just perfectly sums up the transformation her character has had on the show.
Recently, Game of Thrones won a Emmy for best Drama Series and Peter Dinklage took home an Emmy for his role as Tyrion Lannister on the show. The last season is bittersweet, as we all look forward to a new season, but we know how hard it will be to say goodbye.
