I remember when the Eternals were announced, some people on the internet felt that this group of MCU characters wouldn’t be important to the overall story of the universe. However, director Chloé Zhao ensures viewers that this upcoming film is very pivotal to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Zhao told Total Film:
“I think we stand alone as a film for sure. But I do think we will have a very big effect on the future of the MCU with what happens in this film. Which, you know, as a fan, is really satisfying for me! I geek out.”
The Eternals will hit theaters on November 5. The upcoming MCU film stars a lot of heavy hitters in the Hollywood industry, including Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, and Kit Harrington.
