When it comes to actors that I like, I enjoy thinking of them in cinematic universes that I like. I’ve fan-casted Jon Bernthal as Wolverine and Pablo Schreiber as Kraven. Clearly, Marvel isn’t listening to me and isn’t casting the actors in roles that I think they’d be perfect for. That’s okay, I’m still going to fan-cast here and imagine a world where Kevin Feige listens to me.
I’m playing around, but fan-casting is a fun thing to do. Let’s take an actor I’m quite a fan of – Steven Ogg. Having been in The Walking Dead, Snowpiercer, Westworld, and GTA 5, Ogg is one of those actors that you’ve seen, but maybe you don’t know him by name. I did an Actor Spotlight on Ogg, which I hope you read, only because I enjoy my Actor Spotlight articles.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. Ogg, in a Marvel movie? Why not! But, who would Ogg play? You see, if you know Ogg’s work, he has a habit of picking up some deranged characters to play. I mean, we needn’t look further than Trevor Phillips in GTA 5. Besides that, though; his characters in Westworld, Snowpiercer, and The Walking Dead has all had a touch of madness to it. And, Ogg is great at this. So, how can he apply his over-the-top acting in the MCU?
Well, I was doing some digging and I found a tweet of his from 2015. This was back when Netflix was still working on Daredevil and the subject of Bullseye came up. Now, Wilson Bethel did an absolutely f*cking phenomenal job as the character in the third season. I’d never take that role away from him and the fact we never got a season four so Bethel’s Bullseye and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil could go at it again will forever hurt my heart.
However, it seems to some degree, Ogg was interested in playing the character. Check it out:

Now, there’s a lot of speculation when it comes to the future of the MCU. Some reports are saying that characters like Daredevil and Wilson Fisk will be played by their Netflix actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And I would LOVE to see Cox back as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio back as Kingpin. (As well as Jon Bernthal as The Punisher). So, I’d love to see Bethel back as Bullseye.
BUT – it’d be cool to think of Ogg in that role. Colin Farrell played the character in the 2003 Daredevil film. I do think Ogg would be able to play the character role, especially if he was really leaning into that mental unhingement that Bethel exuded in his portrayal of the character. After all, as I said, Ogg can play those kinds of roles.
Besides Bullseye, though; it’d be cool to see him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What do you think Ogg could play in the MCU? Let me know!
