Seven years after Morgan and Madison’s plans to rescue Mo from PADRE end in failure, the people they brought to the island are forced to toil under PADRE’s cynical rule. But the promise of a better world remains, resting with the only person able to reignite everyone’s belief in it: a now eight-year-old Mo.

Video Quality
The eighth and final season of Fear The Walking Dead arrives on Blu-Ray with a gorgeous 1080p presentation that stays in line with everything that the series has offered in the past. The series thrives when exploring the spaces with the grimy production design that is made to look even more ragged with textured cinematography that is presented ideally on this disc. Distinct facial features are clearly visible, such as the marks and age lines gathered throughout this journey. Colors are subdued to capture the depressed nature of the story. Black levels are great and never swallow up the objects on screen. No egregious instances of compression artifacts popped up during the viewing. This is a top-notch presentation that sends the series out on a good note.
Audio Quality
The Blu-Ray disc comes with a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track that nails everything it is asked to do. The all-important score and other key music tracks bring a pulse to the series that fills up the room on this track. When the action commences, there is some activity in the low end that is appreciated. Dialogue largely stays in front center channels and is reproduced clearly. The track does a peerless job of making sure neither sound effects nor the score ever overpowers important elements. Although the series is driven by character moments, there are also bursts of zombie mayhem that wake up the track. There is some welcome ambient activity in the rear channels that add some character to the space. This track is a pleasure to listen to. There are optional English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles provided.
Special Features
There are sadly no special features provided for the final season.
Final Thoughts
Fear The Walking Dead follows up a very disappointing season with a final season that ends the series on a note that is as underwhelming as you have come to expect from this offshoot. There were moments throughout this iteration that rivaled the best of the mothership, but the show could never maintain a consistency to make it must-see television. This last outing bids farewell to longtime characters while welcoming back forgotten faces to mostly tepid results. There is the occasional bright spot, but mainly we are happy to see this one put to pasture so fans can finally walk away. Lionsgate Home Entertainment has released a Blu-Ray set featuring a great A/V presentation but no special features. If you have stuck with the series this long, you might as well see it through to the end in excellent quality. Recommended
Fear The Walking Dead: The Complete Eighth Season is currently available to purchase on Blu-Ray and DVD.
